Hello again. Along with my new images comes a bit of rambling on, so apologies in advance!
It always amazes me the number of people i meet when i have ventured far away to remote areas of Scotland in search of new photographic material.
Why are people drawn to those places? Often negotiating miles and miles of twisty mountain single track roads, high fuel costs, and fairly expensive accommodation in a Tesco free zone too!
But it is this same remoteness which has tremendous healing power and gives back energy to the soul plus it's all for free!
We all love to escape the sometimes frenetic lifestyles we have been cajoled into in the name of progress. This plugging into the "Battery charger of life" is what we all need now and again to maintain perspective and balance in our busy lives.
I hope you all get the chance to get away to your favourite destinations over the summer.
My "new" images are of a wintry flavour so be warned, get you woolly jumper on first.
I have a fair mixture from west coast, one from Perth and as usual a mix of local scenes. I hope you enjoy them and bring back a memory or two of places you have been to "recharge".
Some of these images are in a collection of "Images of evocative nature" which is being exhibited in The Boat of Garten Community Hall from July 23rd till August 7th.
Please come along anytime between 10am and 5pm for a browse and tea or coffee and delicious cakes.
